"Astoria is amazing and the Hotel Elliot is too!"
An amazing Hotel in an amazing town. So happy that we
stayed here on our trip in April of 2006. We will be back
in October 2007!

"Great location, comfortable, good value!"
The beds at the Hotel Elliot are the most comfortable that I have ever slept in. If you think a bed is just a bed, think again! Otherwise the room was small but elegantly appointed, complete with heated floors in the bathroom. The rooftop deck gives you a wonderful view of the river and downtown Astoria, while the underground wine bar and smoke room are gorgeous and cozy. The location couldn't be better: downtown Astoria is a charming old fishing town where you can easily find an assortment of northwest wines, beers, and of course seafood, with the Hotel Elliot at the heart of it all. There is also a very nice Saturday market just outside the hotel during the summer. All in all this was a wonderful place to visit.

"Wonderful! Luxurious! Very Friendly Customer Service!"
My husband and I travel often and have stayed at many historic/boutique hotels! And, I've got to say that the Hotel Elliott just about surpasses them all! Each individual room & suite is designed and decorated completely unique from the others! What a creative masterpiece! The Winebar is great...decorated with an artistic rugged "underground" feel...yet warm & welcoming! The entire Hotel is themed in the early 1920's...yet still has all of the luxurious modern conveniences! The heated limestone-tile flooring in the bathrooms were a brilliant idea, the jacuzzi tub was fabulous...(and perfectly located in our 5th floor club suite with a grand-view window) and the beds were very comfortable! Shame on anyone who doesn't take advantage of this wonderfully restored historic Hotel!!! WE LOVED IT!

"Fabulous Stay!"
Absolutely beautiful, but quaint restored Historic Hotel. The suite room we stayed in was luxurious, immaculately clean, with a beautiful view of the town & bay and had a fabulously comfortable, well dressed bed! We had warmed bathroom floors, jacuzzi, fireplace, frig, 2 televisions (including plasma). Parking is free and around the corner. No food on the facility, but restaurants are within one block or less walking distance. A complimentary fruit, cheese, biscuit and juice basket along with the paper is left in the morning at your door. The neighborhood is in the restored downtown area with many quaint shops and completely safe touring. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We will stay there again when we visit Astoria. Can't imagine a better place to recommend when visiting.

"Nice, nice, nice!"
What a great hotel, what a nice town! We spent Columbus Day weekend at Hotel Elliott and we're still talking about it. The staff was great. Everyone was helpful and friendly - from management to housekeeping. All in all, a very well run hotel. The suites are roomy, comfortable, clean and very nicely appointed. If there weren't so much to see and do in the area, I could've spent the whole time relaxing in our room. Loved the view from the rooftop, loved the wine bar. While you're in Astoria, aside from the obvious attractions, be sure to go to the Bow Picker for fish and chips (in season) and to Shallon Winery for an interesting winery experience. Well worth the trip!

"Loved the wine bar and roof top garden"
“The Hotel Elliot met my expectations and beyond. Once you get past the sparse hotel lobby, the rooms are beautiful. The complimentary wine was a great way for us to relax and we purchased a bottle of wine and went up to the roof top garden on a recommendation from the bar staff. It was spectacular. The weather, the view. We met great people and were up there for hours until the sun went down. We can't wait to come back, but for longer next time!”

"Great service & loved the bed!"
I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Elliott this last weekend! The service was great, the weather was fabulous and I slept SO WELL! Everything about my stay was so easy, from having the doggy bed and treats with bowls in my room for my dog, to the wonderful breakfast basket in morning! The staff was very accommodating and made my dog and I feel at home! :o) I look forward to staying again in the future!

"A lovely historic hotel!"
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Hotel Elliott. The room decor was more modern than the hotel lobby and bar. The furninshings were well maintained and everything was very neat and clean. The staff was friendly. The hotel is located in the middle of Astoria with plenty of restaurants and galleries within a block or two. We will definitely stay here again.

"This is the place to be on the Oregon Coast!"
I have traveled throughout Oregon for more than 20 years.
My family unanimously agreed the Hotel Elliott is on another level for elegance, joyfulness, and accommodation. Located around the corner from the main street in a newly spirited city, this historically preserved building is beautiful inside and out. The rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The "frosting on the elegance cake" contains heated marble bathroom floors, attractive art, a classy wine bar, upscale room service, undescribable views of the Columbia River and Astoria's hills, and a rooftop garden to relax and gaze. The staff helped to make our stay a joyful one. They really care about the Hotel and their work. Finally, all our needs were met, and in some cases, the staff went beyond what we expected. This is the place to be on the Oregon Coast!

"What a gem in Astoria!"
Just returned from a lovely weekend at Hotel Elliott. This is a wonderful boutique hotel in an up and coming town on the Oregon Coast. I can't say enough about the "feel" of this property.
The hotel is set in the center of town and within walking distance of galleries, shops and restaurants. Options for restaurants are not tremendous, but you do not need to look any further than across the street at The Schooner. The food is great, service "low key" friendly and down to earth. The hotel itself has been renovated and retains a strong sense of it's original character. Some original doors, windows, etc., but all the comforts and modern amenities one would expect at the best hotels.
We stayed in a two room river view suite and the comfort was just amazing. The attention to detail is nice, pendleton blankets, aveda bath products, heated bathroom floors, DVD/CD players, fireplace in living room, just overall a wonderful hotel room.
In the rainy weather of winter in Astoria, the Hotel Elliott shines like a beacon.
Oh...I must mention the "wonderful beds". The beds are truly "wonderful". The linen is some of the best I have seen in my travels and in working in hotels for eight years. 440+ thread count sheets. Really nice.
If your travels take you to the Astoria area, don't miss this property. Keep up the great work...

"We Loved Our Room"
We are SO glad we stayed at Hotel Elliott. The atmosphere, the staff, location... We loved our room. The colors, tiles in bathroom, the bed, fireplace. All of this made a very enjoyable stay. Hotel Elliott will be highly recommended to friends and family. Thank you for making our one year anniversary such a memorable one. We look forward to future stays."

"Luxury Hotel with Funky Style"
Astoria is a charming town, and the Hotel Elliott is the perfect place to stay for great luxury and incredible style. My husband and I first went for our anniversary, and we expect to stay again and again.
The vintage hotel has undergone a $4 million renovation, so it keeps all of the old world charm and adds all the creature comforts that make a hotel a truly wonderful place to stay. Among the impressive features of our suites were heated bathroom floors (I know!), jacuzzi tubs, in-room fireplaces, and even a library in one of the suites. (I'm not a techie, but I know we saw flat screen tvs as well.) The beds are to die for, simply heavenly, and the whole atmosphere is one of edgy classicism. Each suite was beautifully decorated and had its own individual style, even down to the great prints and artwork.
The Hotel Elliott is within steps of many great downtown attractions (art galleries, restaurants, movie theaters, shopping, museums), and some of the rooms have waterfront views. But even if you don't want to tour the city, the Hotel Elliott is well worth the trip.
Since there are only 32 rooms, you can be sure of the staff's attention. Everyone we met was absolutely incredible, going out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful time. When I asked if I could borrow a book from the room's library and return it when I was finished reading it, the manager smiled and said, "Bring it when you come back next time." He can be assured that I will. You should too.

"The Most Wonderful Beds"
The Hotel Elliott was the most beautiful place that my husband and I have stayed in. The signs on the outside of the building that say the most wonderful beds are absolutely true. A must stay. Overall 5 stars.

Astoria: Elliott Hotel: "Historic Preservation at its Finest"

Recently underwent a $4 Million renovation. All the modern conveniences and more... but TASTEFULLY and historically integrated. All things of the highest quality... mattresses, linens, cabinetry... even radiant heat in the bathroom floor (at least in our room). SINCERELY friendly, and knowledgeable staff... also gave great dining recommendations. For those of us that seek quality and an alternative to those mass-produced highway Hotels... check out the opportunity to stay in a REAL hotel in a REAL downtown. The price was surprisingly reasonable.

Downtown Astoria is the location for this remodeled and fabulously updated hotel. 32 rooms- each one done in charming decor, old world colors, Kohler tubs and granite bath counters. A rose at your bedside accents Egyptian cotton sheets, down comforters and the thickest towels I have ever seen! Add a bonus of terry cloth robes, gorgeous continental breakfast and the best coffee in Oregon. There is a midweek special and we came back on Sunday to view the Sunday Market in the streets in front of the hotel. Kudos to the wonderful reception clerks and the great restaurants within walking distance.

"Just a note to thank your for all your help & assistance with the Shorebank group's stay at the Elliott this month. All the guests are still raving about the great service and how nice the hotel was.... Congrats on a great hotel!" Kim Andresen -Spectacular Events- Aloha, OR
"Dear Hotel Elliott Staff: Thank you so much for the wonderful experience that is Hotel Elliott! I'm still not sure which was the best part: The great service, the incredible bed, or the little surprises, like chocolate-dipped berries & Aveda products... I suppose I'll have to come back to decide." Jill S. Portland, OR
"One of the great pleasures of our recent trip to Oregon was staying at your beautifully refurbished Hotel Elliott in Astoria. The hotel has real style, with its historic significance, central location, elegant renovation, fine service, and just about any comfort that a person could desire. And the beds are indeed 'wonderful'!" Myles & Ruth J., Washington, D.C.
"My husband, Marion, joins me in extending our sincerest gratitude to you and your staff for making our visit to Astoria so successful. Our late night arrival and brief stay were obstacles that you graciously overcame. The personal attention that has been given to our "Lewis and Clark" tour arrangements is a feat to be 'feted'!... We shall certainly recommend your lovely hotel!" Penny & Marion, Baton Rouge, LA
"...I have yet to find the word that adequately describes Hotel Elliott. All the usual descriptions like ‘first class,’ or the ‘finest boutique hotel,’ just aren’t good enough. I do know for a fact that Astoria deserves the very best, and you have blessed us with a vision which allows our outstanding artists and craftsmen to shine… P.S. The bed is wonderful!!"
